L 2000 fretless

Hello,

i would like to share my joy to get my first L 2000 fretless and i completely dig it.

Originally she had a non lined fretless neck and the previous owner swaped it with a lined ebony L 1500 neck.

The feeling and the sound is just amazing. ( i'm not use to employ this term but why not ;)

Unfortunately she spent the last 2 weeks between Usa and my home with the strings relaxed and the truss rod not relaxed. I guess that's what explains the buzz in the low register ( i've checked with a little ruler and there is clearly a dome around the 3rd fret ). I know the seller is honest and i've solve the problem with him. Today i go to luhier.

She's not on the heavy side 9,5 Lbs and is from the 90's. I've have a L 2000 fretted neck that i've bought previously and i could swap occasionally but it will be difficult to part with this fretless sound..

Hello,

i know the subject as been treated several times...

I would like to replace the series mode by single coil mode ( outer coils ).

My preamp is rev 1.1..bass is from 96/97.

I know things happens on the big 4Pdt switch and that i have to take off the 104 K caps but i don't know what to do after. I think black and yellow wires are for north coils..

The wiring is exactly the same as this one

Edit: i found this wiring https://www.bassesbyleo.com/paul/l_2x00 ... lel_sc.jpg here..viewtopic.php?f=28&t=2661&p=16520&hilit=outer+coils#p16520

Is that ok ? It seems to be a lot of modifications...

Edit again: i found this too https://www.bassesbyleo.com/daveplaysba ... ations.pdf unfortunately the mod is for inside coils..
