A Tribute LB-100 with superpowers

Postby jglunt2112 » Fri Dec 03, 2021 6:13 pm

Today I put a split-coil MFD pickup into my Tribute LB-100. Just about 3 minutes of light sanding on the pickguard and it dropped right in. The coolest thing of all is this bass has an STC-2C-BO Seymour Duncan concentric active EQ in it, so I have cut and boost on both bass and treble. I was worried that the MFD would overdrive the front end of the EQ, but it's clean as a whistle, and as great as the MFD split coil is, this EQ even enhances that by allowing sounds to be dialed in that a bass with just cuts in EQ can't achieve. This turned out to be a great experiment.
