JB replacement control plate

Postby jim.i » Tue Feb 19, 2019 7:55 am

I have modded my JB to serially wired pickups, as a result the bridge volume knob is inactive and neck volume is single master vol. I'm thinking about replacing the stock 4-hole control plate with a 3-hole: vol, tone, input jack. The unused bridge volume pot would be left in-line but packed in the control cavity.

In searching online i've found a number of 3-hole J bass control plates but can anyone recommend a plate that is a same size/screw hole location replacement for the stock G&L 4-hole plate?

If you are unable to find a new plate, you might consider a snap-in chrome hole cover. Hardware stores might have them, electronics shops should have them, even Amazon probably has them.
