Jim.i has a shielding question

You mean there are other basses? :D This is where those discussions go.

On carpet, i got pops with or without the Gramma, so likely the carpet is the culprit (sounds like Jack Webb). Yes, Davis near Sacramento in northern Cal. Don't want to mess with liquids etc so when i get static noise i will move onto hardwood or tile.
Thank you sir.

Don't know if this helps - I've had pops on carpet because of the shoes I was wearing, shuffling my feet made one heck of a noise. We were recording at the time and the only cure was to take my shoes off.

I love single coil P basses.

Even the imaginary ones I can't see.

But they're cooler when they're real and there's photographic evidence that they exist.

Kind of like me and my Fullerton El Toro. Paid a hellacious price to get that bass. Glad I did. Best bass in the house. Maybe even The Best Bass In The World.
