Obligatory pictures. It's for pictures of YOUR G&L basses.

This is the main discussion and technical forum for G&L and Tribute by G&L basses. Please limit the discussion to G&L and Tribute by G&L. Simple questions regarding mods are okay, but really belong in the EBA or Paul's Technicalities.

Please; no links to other forums except as noted in the forum guidelines. Discussion of new instrument MSRP is okay, as is discussion of options pricing. However, there shall be no discussion of MAP or final negotiated pricing for new instruments. Used pricing is generally fair game.

Nice bass, ya don't see too many from that era.

I'd bet my life's savings (twenty bucks) it's ash.

Thanks, and yes - my initial feeling that it is ash is getting more and more reinforced.

I know it has been a little bit since my newest baby came home, and according to the rules she is not real until ya'll see her. :P Well here she is.

I am really impressed with how well she was set up at the factory. The only adjustment I have needed was to tune her up a little. She plays smooth to say the least and I love the variety of tone I can get, even with my cheap practice amp.

The only complaint I can register is the bass pot has a scratchy section in the mid-point of the rotation. I do not know if this will eventually work its self out or if I will have to effect some sort of repair.

Overall I am in love with her, hope you like her as well, because now she is REAL!!!

This is the G&L L-2500 (#CLF43136) that I had shipped almost two years ago from the US to France before carrying it all the way down to Bangkok where she now lives next to my PJB Flightcase:

Hi

Thought I better post a couple of pics of my new toy on here, then it officially exists.

I have only been able to find one tiny cymbal nick on the headstock, no other marks at all. Not bad for a 2007 instrument with at lest 2 previous owners.

L-2000 Tribute with refinished headstock (with USA decal), Not my handiwork, I would prefer a real USA model but with 6 basses now, not to mention my 11 other assorted guitars, I am getting about up to my limit.

Same two basses, but in action:

Korean Tribute SB2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIInnQQf7ek

L2000 USA: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5H_VGaBjjoQ

I got another Trib SB-2 coming in! Yeah!
