Saddle intonation screw problem

Postby Jefflaserfist » Tue Apr 24, 2018 8:31 am

The bigger saddle intonation screw on my e string on my tribute L2000 keeps working its self loose and falling out. I’ve owned the bass about 3 years but this problem has only started recently. Is there any solution to this outside of ordering replacement parts?

A combination of downward string pressure and the spring should stop the screws from backing out.

You might give this a read, with an eye toward making sure that everything is set up well. You can also try a little paraffin wax on the threads to help keep the screw from turning. Something a little stronger would be Loctite 242 (the blue stuff). Just apply a tiny drop.
