OMG on L2000

I am a happy owner of a 1985 L2000 and my question is until which year was the OMG cap mounted.

bdgotoh says the OMG cap disappeared sometime during 1998. If it is stock, your 1985 would have it.

Thanks, that means that in passive mode, neck pickup, serial mode I can emulate the L1000 sound right?

Almost. Even in passive mode the preamp is still in circuit with the signal chain. The effect of this is a very slight loading of the circuit. The difference is slight but it's there. It'll still sound like a Wunkay, though.

You should have the parallel humbucking option and the OMG option, but not the straight single coil setting.
