Paul’s technicalities

Hello all ! I recently purchased a 1981 G&L L1000 which overall I am happy with - I was able to polish up the frets and fretboard nicely . However , I didn’t have much luck with the tuning pegs . I tried toothpaste , F One oil , even a high dollar silverwear cleaning paste . Very little results . Any suggestions are welcome . Thanks ________________

Are you asking about just the peg (that the string wraps around) or the whole tuner assembly?
