Head stock shape

Hello everyone,

I hope this hasn't been answered a long time ago and I didn't look properly enough...

What defines the different shape of the standard G&L headstock (with the pointy bit) with different models e. g. the telly character of the ASAT or the shifted look of the trib L2000 (as if knocked over). The difference is quite subtle between most of the models but looks intentional, the trip L2K really stands out(a bit like a mistake in design or production). I understand all necks are cnc routed, no hand carving involved here, right.

Thanks
Martin
