bass cut control sending hot signal to ground

bass cut control sending hot signal to ground

Postby jbhaugh » Wed Aug 17, 2022 6:20 am

Hello,

I've wired up my 1k with new pots and a new pickup (i had a dead coil in the original pickup), and now no signal is passing to the output. I checked continuity and I'm getting continuity everywhere up until I check the connection from the bass cut pot back to the volume pot, and I have no output, not even a hum.

The wiring looks correct according to the diagrams here and all component values are to spec.

It's possible that visual fatigue might be setting in when you're comparing your bass to a drawing. Perhaps have someone else help?
