Series/Parallel Functions for L1K???

OMG!!! Mode, that is. This is the forum for a true G&L monster, the L-1000. Simple, passive, and huge, the Wunkay speaks volumes for the G&L sound.

Wow, that is a wonderful G&L collection! There is definitely a difference in the headstocks.

Just off the top of my head, could the difference be in nut width, which would necessitate a slightly different headstock shape?

The 2K on the left is 1994 with a 1 11/16 nut, the 2008 1K has the 1 1/2 nut. But, both of these have a very sharp "point" in the middle, many of yours look to have less.

Nut width will definitely affect the headstock width near the nut but mine are 2/3 1.5" and 1/3 1.625" so it doesn't seem to be just that.
