Soppy love letter to my Wunkay

OMG!!! Mode, that is. This is the forum for a true G&L monster, the L-1000. Simple, passive, and huge, the Wunkay speaks volumes for the G&L sound.

Soppy love letter to my Wunkay

Postby neepheid » Wed Nov 29, 2023 4:44 am

Just over two years ago I gave myself a post-lockdown treat of a Royal Purple CLF Wunkay. I'm so glad I did. We've had many adventures together and played some fun gigs.

It is my equal "best" bass (alongside my Epiphone 20th Anniversary Jack Casady Signature). It just feels so good to play, the neck is lovely, the tone is immense, simple yet flexible, I cannot fault it in any way.

I know people say "I'll never sell bass X", but all I will say is that it'll take some financial crisis for me to even consider selling my Wunkay.

Here it is at a recent gig, I was terrorising my drummer with OMG mode and a new amp that night :D

Here's to many more years of wunkay wuvin'!
