Wunkay Pix!

OMG!!! Mode, that is. This is the forum for a true G&L monster, the L-1000. Simple, passive, and huge, the Wunkay speaks volumes for the G&L sound.

Hello All,

Let me introduce the beast which become the beauty

It's a last L1000 signature model 1991-1992

I bought it few years ago for 600€, I am the third owner, the previous one applied an awfull burst (500gr of painting material)

I decided to restore it, but in a lowest price, not ask the car painter, i removed old layout with heat gun

And apply copper tape inside cavity and preserve original colour and here the final status :

I'm back in G&L land! This week I took delivery of a new CLF Research wunkay in Royal Purple. Retailer had it on discount so it was time to strike.

Colour is hard to photograph, I think the second one is closer.
