90s ASAT gunslinger

Hey all! Sorry, got wrapped up in the day job but now have a ton of free time so let’s buy/sell/trade some stuff!

Nice bass with very little wear or damage, the one dink on the face and a little finish wear on the underside of the neck, treble side at the 3rd fret. The back of the neck up near the 10-12 frets feels like it was leaned against an amp several times and left very small indents; I can’t photograph them but you can feel it with your thumb if you are looking for them (as we know, there’s no money above the 7th fret so I didn’t find them for some time). Has the slightest bit of fret wear on the E and A at frets 1-3 but not even close to ready for a leveling, just mentioning it so you know it’s there. The discoloration on the control plate is plastic that never got peeled off! There’s even a small amount of flame to the neck, you can see it more on the back.

Bass plays and sounds great, and the extra strap button at the neck heel completely cures the neck dive the ASATs can sometimes have (although truth be told, this one doesn’t neck dive much at all even on the upper horn button with a nice wide strap).

Neck, as you probably know, is the standard 1.5” at the nut. Weighs 9.25 lbs.

I don’t know if this left the factory with all the blacked out hardware, but the tuners are G&L branded and the bridge and neck plate are the typical crinkle black so maybe it did. It’s the first ASAT I’ve seen like this.

Comes with a G&L case, with all the feet smashed in, as required by law.

Looking for $825 plus shipping “across the street” but would make a *very* good deal for a BbL person, or a SoCal local deal.

Interested in trades, too. Tell me whatchu got!

Just seeing this - black hardware actually was a bass option that ended in the late 90s - not sure when it started. So the tuners are indeed factory.
