uploading photos

Hi Ken; I saw where you were giving instructions to another member on how to upload from photobucket etc. I can't find the instructions, and the codes I copied for the photos don't show the photos when I try to up load them in the photo section here. What am I doing wrong?

Here's a sample image. When you edit this post you'll be able to see the IMG tags and how the line is constructed.

You need to get the fully qualified URL (address) of the image in question. Such an address would be in the following form, without the quotes:

If you use Firefox, you should be able to view the image then right-click on it and select View Image. Then copy the address in the location bar to the clipboard (Ctrl-C). Come back here and create a post. Click the IMG button and press Ctrl-V to paste the address into your message.

I'll edit your post above to add an image in a sec. Once I've done that, you can edit it to see the format with the IMG tags in place.

Hi Ken; Thanks again. I got it to take. I was making more difficult than just coping the bottom code for the image in Photo Bucket. if you get a chance check out the new SB-2 pics. I named it "Thor" Thunder of the gods.

Thanks again Ken. It started out well with the guys at Arc Music. Lou has been playing G&L Basses for a long time. Placing the order with them made it so easy to get the right bass. I guess I'm lucky to have an authorized G&L dealer a few minutes down the road. Just about everyone in this part of South Florida knows where the Fender guys are. A pretty good number of folks on here are surprised there is a G&L guy in the area. If I need something they give excellent local support. Another great reason for me to play this Thunder Bass. 8-)
