Audere Onboard Preamps

Has anybody used one of these preamps ? They seem to be especially useful in two pickup basses. They have some design features that make them unique:
They have electrically isolated pickup control - the preamp unit has tiny little screws to adjust the output of each pickup.
They use active blending which allows very smooth blending of pickups.
The site has more than enough information to read and learn about their preamps. So, I just thought I'd bounce this idea off you guys (and gals).

I've not used the Audere, but they are said to be a really good one. I'll see if I can get Mal to come in and comment, as he's used one in an L-2500 with good results.
